What does Art look like at Kingfisher?
At Kingfisher CE Academy, we teach Art through a creative curriculum where children are hands on, exploring the skills and using different mediums through practical means. Children will be taught through a creative curriculum which helps build their resilience and self-confidence whilst allowing them to think creatively and imaginatively. They will be involved in the cycle of being inspired by artists and artwork before then reflecting on what they think of this art and how it could influence their own artwork. Once they have learnt the new skill or the new medium, children will then have the chance to apply what they have learnt to their own piece of artwork.
